GIMEN cell line, a neuroblastoma model, is widely used in neuro-oncology research, differentiation studies, and neuronal signaling pathway analysis.
IFN gamma inhibits growth of GIMEN. FGF-2 is antimitogenic for GIMEN cells, this antimitogenic effect of FGF-2 is reversed by IFN gamma and enhanced by IL-1 beta.
