AcceGen offers an assortment of various human and non-human hepatic derived cells.
Plateable Mouse Hepatocytes are isolated from murine liver tissue. These cells are cryopreserved after primary culture. They express α-fetoprotein (AFP), HepPar-1 antigen and arginase-1. Mouse hepatocytes are responsible for key liver functions such as detoxification, protein synthesis, and metabolic regulation. They are widely utilized in drug toxicity testing, metabolic studies, and liver disease modeling in biomedical research. Their plateable nature allows for attachment in vitro, facilitating functional assays. In vitro, these hepatocytes display limited proliferative capacity. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided to preserve functionality. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.

Plateable Mouse Hepatocytes provide a robust in vitro platform for evaluating drug metabolism, liver toxicity, and hepatic gene regulation. These cells reflect key liver functions including detoxification, protein synthesis, and metabolic processing. Mouse hepatocytes are widely applied in disease modeling of fibrosis, hepatitis, and liver regeneration, as well as in transgenic and knockout mouse studies. They are indispensable for elucidating molecular mechanisms of liver function and for screening hepatoprotective compounds.
