Cardiology is a branch of medicine dedicated to the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders of the heart and circulatory system, also known as the cardiovascular system. Recent research highlights include innovations in AI-powered diagnostics, minimally invasive procedures (e.g., transcatheter aortic valve replacements, TAVR), and gene-editing approaches for inherited disorders are indeed revolutionizing cardiovascular treatment strategies. These advancements drive the growing demand for precise and reliable models to accelerate cutting-edge research and clinical translation. AcceGen supports cardiovascular research through a comprehensive suite of cardiovascular research tools spanning three critical domains: Cardiac Cells and Electrophysiology, Vascular Biology and Endothelial Function, and Drug Discovery and Screening.

Within Cardiac Cells and Electrophysiology, our portfolio encompasses induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cardiomyocytes, embryonic stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes, cardiomyocyte stem cells, and CRISPR-edited stable cell lines modeling arrhythmic phenotypes such as long QT syndrome. These cellular models are suitable for high-throughput screening of antiarrhythmic compounds and facilitate detailed analysis of post-transcriptional regulation of ion channels, calcium handling defects and electrical remodeling associated with heart failure.

For Vascular Biology and Endothelial Function, we provide primary endothelial cells isolated from arterial and microvascular tissues, as well as immortalized endothelial cell lines. These cells are indispensable for modeling key processes including vascular inflammation, angiogenesis, and atherosclerosis progression under physiologically relevant shear stress conditions, thereby bridging fundamental vascular biology with therapeutic discovery.

In Drug Discovery and Screening, with focuses on identifying and validating therapeutic agents for heart diseases. AcceGen offers engineered reporter cell lines enabling real-time monitoring of therapeutic efficacy and cardiotoxicity in vitro. Additionally, iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes and cardiac fibroblasts faithfully recapitulate disease-specific electrophysiological properties and fibrotic responses, rendering them valuable for chronic safety assessment and preclinical validation. These integrated tools accelerate target identification, mechanism-of-action profiling, and preclinical cardiotoxicity screening with enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
