A mouse hepatoma isolated from the BW7756 transplantable hepatoma carried in C57 leaden/J mice.
BW1J is a widely used transplantable hepatoma cell line isolated from C57 leaden/J mouse. The cell line will mass synthesis in early fetal stage with hepatic proteins. The majority of cells contain 2 or more nuclei, but rarely fat droplet. When mix with Fao cells, can form BW1J x Fao hybrids when treated with inactivated Sendai Virus.
