Description

Rat Bone Marrow Leukocytes are primary immune cells isolated from the femoral and tibial bone marrow of healthy adult rats. These non-adherent, round-shaped cells comprise a heterogeneous mix of hematopoietic lineage cells including lymphocytes, monocytes, neutrophils, and progenitor cells. Harvested under sterile conditions and cryopreserved after primary isolation, these leukocytes play central roles in innate and adaptive immunity by contributing to cytokine secretion, phagocytosis, and antigen presentation. Rat leukocytes have been widely employed in inflammation, autoimmune disease, and bone marrow suppression models. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and is rigorously tested to ensure it is free of contamination from Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
