BALB/c Mouse Liver Cells

Description

BALB/c Mouse Hepatocytes are primary parenchymal liver cells isolated from the livers of BALB/c mice (Mus musculus). These cells exhibit polygonal morphology with distinct nuclei and bile canaliculi-like structures. They are provided as cryopreserved cells and are not suitable for continuous passaging, which preserves their native liver-specific functions, including albumin secretion, cytochrome P450 enzyme activity, urea synthesis, and lipid metabolism. Hepatocytes are validated for characteristic hepatic markers, including albumin, CK18, and CYP3A, using immunostaining or RT-PCR. Each lot undergoes rigorous screening and isolation procedures and is tested to ensure it is free from contamination by Mycoplasma, Fungi, Yeast, and Bacteria.
