AceSeq™ M13 Phage Single Strand DNA Kit is developed for extracting DNA from M13 phage or related phagemid infected liquid culture. M13 and other filamentous phage vectors are useful for library construction and introduction of mutations. The liquid culture infected with M13 filamentous phage or related phagemid is centrifuged, and the single-stranded phage DNA in the supernatant is selectively adsorbed on the silica matrix membrane in the spin column in the high-salt state. And then impurities such as salt, cellular metabolites, and proteins are removed through a series of rapid rinsing-centrifugation steps. Finally, a low-salt elution buffer elutes pure phage single-stranded DNA from the silica-based membrane. AceSeq™ M13 Phage Single Strand DNA Kit rapidly isolates high-quality DNA free of hazardous chemicals and is ready to use.
