AceSeq™ mRNA Cap 2’-O-Methyltransferase

AceSeq™ mRNA Cap 2’-O-Methyltransferase is a recombinant protein from vaccinia virus. The enzyme can add a methyl group to the 5’ end of the RNA at the 2’-O position of the first nucleotide of the cap structure. The enzyme utilizes SAM as a methyl donor to methylate capped RNAs to form Cap1 structures. The Cap1 structure enhances the translation efficiency of mRNA and thus can improve mRNA expression in transfection and microinjection experiments. The enzyme requires RNA with m7GpppN, a 7-methylguanosine cap, as a substrate. AceSeq™ mRNA Cap 2’-O-Methyltransferase that is free of hazardous chemicals has high efficiency.
